ASYLUM (additional comments)

YOU WILL NEVER LOOK AT BALLET THE SAME!

Set in the 1960’s, Asylum is a compelling saga that takes us along a spiritual journey.   Devastated by a traumatic event, Claudette Renee Ford is plunged into a complex world of emotions; one which seeks to rip her further and further apart from her family.   In belief there is a place that can save her, she is sent to a “supposed” refuge, yet finds little protection; having to struggle against those who are dealing with their own challenges.  Only after leaning not to her own understanding, but resting on her faith, is she finally able to overcome her feelings of despair and come to terms with her loss.

  1. Thank you for such a wonderful story, much respect to the authors. Perspective is everything and I must say the presentation was excellent. For a presentation that had no words the silence was so loud.
My two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and is looking to attend your next eye opener, thought provoking and compelling saga. Thanks again for the chance to see and think outside the box.
    Much peace and one love

  2. My desk is full of work but I have already let too much time get away, and I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed Asylum. Having just seen a Kenny Leon production that same week that was a disappointment, I thoroughly enjoyed Asylum. The actors / dancers were excellent as any theater production I have paid good money to see, and trust me I have seen my share of plays in Chicago and here. The incorporated cinematography excellent. I was not sure how the story / plot was going to play out in dance, but it did very believable especially that Asylum scene. Anyway just wanted to let you know I thought it was great, and thanks for giving my friend Brenda the tickets. And I have been singing this plays praises.

  3. Asylum is one of the best performances I’ve experienced in a long time. This production has taken theatre and ballet to new and different heights!

Being from New York, while enjoying the show, I thought for a moment I was at a Manhattan broadway production.

Please keep me informed of all of your productions, so I can secure a front row seat.

Thank you for the cultural stimulation. See you at the June production, if not sooner!

  4. It was just AMAZING!! I was soo suprised to see my former dance “sisters” up there performing! I am so proud of them!

  5. I was floored by this performance. This was an awesome performance by very talented students and staff. Thank you for the exposure to what real talent is all about. KUDOS to you PHUSION!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a fan for life !!! Bring it on and I will support you guys and tell others what they are missing!!

  6. I have been to a number of dance school performances in the past and I must say this is by far the most professional production of them all. The hard work, talent and gifts were quite evident. So much so, that I saw the performance twice. Can’t wait to get the DVD to share with out of town friends and family.
Looking forward to future performances. Good to see young people being challenged in their talents.
